This week at Compass Worship we began a new series journeying us through the book of Jonah. From the first chapter we find a tension that is real in our lives just like it was Jonah's. God speaks but we don't want to do what He is calling us to do. Just like God spoke to Jonah and asked him to go to Ninevah to preach truth and repentance but Jonah choose to run the other direction from God's word. We often do the same thing. We have a God that still speaks to us through His word, His people, His Creation, the Holy Spirit, etc... but often when we hear it, read it, feel it we don't want to do what He is asking which leads to us running from God's desire for our lives.Listen to Ian, Haley, Mason and Sam as they share their thoughts on the first chapter of Jonah and what they took away from God's word this week.
