It's taken a while to finally get this episode out. Circumstances in the fall delayed a conversation with Jeff and then the holiday season did its usual thing. Before we even get to the first song a story about my sister and her car takes center stage, along with Thanksgiving catch ups. Once we get into my first contender for Song of the Summer, Jeff says he has not much to offer on the songs from the latest playlist. It seemed strange at the time as he had mentioned the song "All My Life" at the end of the last episode as he had found it on one of my current Spotify playlists. Clearly he had stuff to say about it. There was a lot surrounding this song and Jeff had to listen to some songs for the first time, which is always a fun, on the spot, endeavor. This episode's tangent revolved around Billboard's Song of the Summer, which leads to this year's Grammy discussion, always a thorn in my side. One of the on the spot listens for Jeff was Shaboozey's "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" which was unknown to him. Obviously it is possible to have no clue about the world aroud you, wink. As we move towards my other contender for Song of the Summer we abruptly stop as Jeff was listening to a fake playlist again. To be fair the guy works his butt off.
