On December 4, 2024, the National Housing Conference (NHC) hosted our Solutions for Affordable Housing convening at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. In this week's episode, we revisit the convening's fireside chat between NHC's President and CEO David Dworkin and Senator Mark Warner (D-VA), where they discuss housing policy, bipartisan collaboration in a highly partisan Congress, and economic development issues.  During his time in the Senate, Senator Warner has established himself as a bipartisan leader who works across the aisle to accomplish sustainable solutions to America's most important challenges. He has served as a key supporter of several pieces of critical legislation addressing today's affordable housing shortage, including cosponsoring the Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act and the Neighborhood Homes Investment Act, as well as a long-time leader and advocate for the New Markets Tax Credit.
