Listen "2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time Year B"
Episode Synopsis
Doing God's holy will leads us to sanctification. When we do what God wants of us, not what we want ourselves, we grow closer to God. Being closer to God means that we become holy. And this is what God wants for us: that we live this life as a time of demonstrating our love for Him; rehearsing, if you like, to be with Him forever in the unending happiness of heaven. Our great Australian saint, Mary Mackillop, was like all the saints who made it to heaven. She did God's will. She wrote to the Sisters of her religious order that the will of God was like a dear book that she never tired of reading.May we be the same as her; the same as the boy Samuel, St Andrew and the other disciple, who wanted to do what God wanted of them. There's a further message today from St Paul about the impact on us of doing God's will.Email me with any questions or comments - [email protected] If you would like to contact me to provide feedback, suggestions or to ask questions you can do this via email:[email protected] if you would like to support me in this work, please send me an email and I will provide details for how you can make a donation.
