Behind the Scenes With... is a conversation about what it’s really like committing to someone and their passion. How it shapes the life we’re building, the way we communicate with our partner, and the community we become part of. And, what it’s like being on the same team as someone who is obsessed with what they do.

Behind the Scenes With... was born out of the Instagram account (@skate_wives) I made earlier this year to entertain myself while living on the road with my husband, and subsequently joining him on all of his skateboarding adventures.
As I spent more and more time filming “last tries,” and taking detours to check out skate spots, I became aware of the broader community of significant others who support their partner’s passions for skateboarding. More so, I realized how much more broadly this significant-other-support-community extends beyond skateboarding; from climbers to musicians, football players to comedians, there is an entire network of people out there who are also spending a bunch of their time supporting their partner’s pursuit of passion.
