It sometimes hits us bluntly, like a hammer. Other times, it's more like an elegant symphony. Creative Destruction happens when one technology (and all associated with it) is replaced by a new innovation, which eliminates (and destroys) what was once there -- but often blossoms into something new and perhaps even better. While it can be interesting to read the lists of jobs and areas of employment that are forecast to become eliminated and replaced by newer forms of technology; doing so can drive us to ask ourselves if we once had a job that has since been eliminated and replaced by some sort of technology or newer way of doing things.
