It’s okay to build on other people’s platforms starting out. It’s like being the show opener band for a much larger headliner band. Eventually, you want to become the headliner.I have put a lot of content on Medium and build a few followers on social media but I always lead them to email lists, my podcast, or some other property that I own and have full control over.YouTube, Medium, Facebook, all of these guys can ban you and shut you down in the snap of a finger.
