Episode Synopsis

EP 12 - In today’s episode, I’m diving deeper into a recent Q&A session I recorded after teaching a workshop on Biblical justice and the Bible and race. Grounded in Romans 8:18–26, we explore what it means to live in the tension of the "now and not yet"—a world where creation groans, we groan, and yet, we hope. Here are three takeaways I want you to sit with as you listen:Justice begins with formation – Real change doesn't start with good intentions or quick solutions; it starts with allowing God to shape your heart through Scripture and relationships that challenge and grow you.Relationships are the bridge – We can't talk about racial healing without talking about proximity. Building deep, cross-cultural relationships is where transformation takes root and where we begin to look more like the Kingdom. The Holy Spirit helps us when the work feels too hard – Whether you're afraid of saying the wrong thing or feeling discouraged by resistance, the Spirit has given us what we need to keep pursuing unity with love, humility, and hope.I’ll also share practical steps for walking this out in your community, thoughts on nations progressing in racial healing, and a personal prayer to close. No matter your background, I believe God is inviting each of us to live more fully into His justice and unity—your next step might be closer than you think.Download my Prayer of Hope in the Work of ReconciliationBecome a part of The Needle Mover’s Effect Communityneedlemovers.org/connectJoin Us in Building Beautiful Justice!Partner with us to create more impactful formation resources by becoming a Financial Friend of the Beautiful Justice Podcast.
