I was raised as a cessationist. That means I was raised to believe that all miracles and revelations and spiritual gifts ENDED when Jesus ASCENDED and the New Testament was finished. Only the APOSTLES were able to access them. This means that when the last apostle died, those special abilities ceased. They were only necessary to validate Jesus and the church to help it get established, and would not be needed after that. Is that true? This study investigates that view, and you might just be surprised what Scripture actually teaches in this area.
