Are you prepared to enter exile? Are you resolved to follow God's rules? Will you wait on God's reward? In this sermon, Pastor/Professor Andrew Marquez looks at Daniel 1:1-21. In the midst of destruction, Daniel reminds us that God is in control. God is Sovereign. This chapter shows the first test given to Daniel and his friends. How will these four young men remain faithful in exile? Their actions are our guide. First, they refuse defilement. Next, they seek for a solution, and finally they demonstrate faith in God's favor. The verses conclude the chapter with blessings for Daniel and his friends. God prospers His people in His time. His blessings will come. We will be rewarded in this life or the one to come if we will remain faithful.
