As moms, our time and energy is undervalued. We give it away without question. We give our families carte blanche over our schedules, our time, our energy. I know that's how it was in my house in the past. The kids needed something, they'd ask and I'd drop everything to deliver. Whether they wanted to do an activity, get a ride somewhere, go out to dinner ... they asked and I made it happen. But this approach wasn't sustainable and it led to ... you guessed it ... burnout. I have limited time and energy and if I don't value it then nobody else will. Mom math is a way we can quantify our time so that we can value it more.
