Timothy Brown always wanted to join the military because of his love for Australia. When he was 22 years old, his dream came true when he joined a cavalry regiment.

Having achieved his goal, Tim soon realised the military wasn’t going to be a lifelong career. But holding a 9-5 job had no appeal, so Tim started looking for ways to make money and discovered property.

Tim’s first property purchase was a home for him and his partner. Soon after, he started investing in other properties.

This led Tim to where he is today, the director and founder of The Charleston Group, a buyer’s agency.

The military is very different to civilian life, Tim explains to Buyer’s Agent Institute founder Ben Handler. For example, the military offers more support and is a protected environment. Being left to their own devices can be a struggle for some veterans.

Military personnel can also earn a fair amount of money if they’re deployed, which they often don’t know how to invest.That’s why Tim is passionate about helping veterans buy investment properties across Australia.

Tim combines the discipline he learnt in the military with his passion and positive mindset. He feels a positive mindset can help you overcome life’s obstacles.
