The Newbies approach this "not" special edition with some trepidation but nevertheless believe wholeheartedly in the value and importance of having an open and honest mother/daughters dialogue about the important themes swirling amid the current controversy within the Bachelor franchise. The Newbies discuss racism; what it means to be "woke"; how apologies are perceived in the current climate;  the importance of belonging to one self; the importance to stay open and keep learning and evolving; and the absolute necessity to keep conversation alive even when points of view differ. It's only through conversation that we can hope to inspire change. We do not claim to be perfect in the way that we discuss these important themes but we thank our listeners in advance for the willingness to participate in our conversation.
