After Jesus is baptized His Father says this is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.  This word from His Father blessed Jesus immensely, more than we can imagine.  It represents the fullness of their relationship. Jesus lived to please His Father no matter the cost, even to give His own life in sacrifice.  In all decisions of any importance He went to His Father in prayer. How we need to rediscover that the Spirit filled life is one of learning to please our Father in heaven.  We need to awaken to who we are and what our purpose for living in life is all about. This means we need the way we think to be transformed by the Spirit.  How we approach life needs to be renewed in holiness and righteousness, so as to think as Jesus thought.  We "put on Christ" after we have put to death our old lifestyle. All of this is in the knowledge we are our Father's beloved as we abide in Christ.  God loves us and longs to walk with us in this life as expressed by Paul to live and walk in the Spirit.
