Obedience to His commandments enables God's Spirit to put His truth in us. Disobedience can keep us from the truth of God in us. Love for the things of this world that are bnot of God keeps us from truth. Love for the Father and confessing who Jesus is will fill us with truth. All that John writes in this chapter alone gives us enough wisdom and insight to make a clear distinction between Jesus and the antichrist spirit and discerning the truth from what is a lie.
