What is reality? Many teach that the goings-on of this world are but an illusion and anyone who pays much attention to it is going to end up losing his or her peace. Others teach that Satan is the ruler of this world and we should have a higher standard than that of the so-called "world" for ourselves. But what is it really to live in this world? How is it that we came to split ourselves off from it as if it had only an evil or negative pull against our efforts to attain heaven or a higher self? What is real? And what is illusion? There are so many of us who allow others to answer those questions for us, instead of seeking our own answers—and that's both in the New Age/New Thought world and that of the fundamentalist, as well as those from Eastern religions.
