Listen "Preview: Art of Science Interview Series"

Episode Synopsis

Art of Science officially launches on November 9, when host Graham Ambrose sits down with Dr. Mark Lubell of the University of California, Davis and Dr. Francesca Pia Vantaggiato of King’s College London for a conversation about their paper “The Benefits of Specialized Knowledge in Polycentric Governance.” You can watch a livestream of their conversation here, and an audio version will appear in the podcast feed the following day.
Art of Science (AoS) explores the art of the research process leading to scientific publication by interviewing scholars with recent publications in the Policy Studies Journal. AoS is meant to break down the mystique of research for early career researchers, by highlighting the process of research, from idea to publication, rather than focusing only on publications. Conversations with scholars will show how failures, and the problem solving associated with them, can ultimately lead to publication success. AoS aims to be a resource through which scholars can receive honest advice about the research process that lies somewhere in-between art and science.
AoS is a co-production of the Policy Studies Journal and the Center for Policy Design and Governance at Syracuse University.
