Anna is joined by Jodi Schroer, YMCA District Executive Director,  to discuss the programs offered by the Brentwood location of the YMCA.   They offer summer camps, outreach programs, before and after school childcare programs, in addition to their fitness facilities.  Then, Casey LeVasseur discusses the Alex LeVasseur Memorial Skatepark at the Brentwood YMCA.   The family began supporting the Brentwood Y’s skate park following 13-year-old Alex’s tragic death in a January 2007 ATV accident. After the original park, consisting of primarily wooden ramps, was destroyed by weather incidents, the park was reimagined and moved to a more ideal location on the property as part of the recent renovation and expansion of the Brentwood Y. The LeVasseur Family Foundation’s philanthropic efforts also made possible the Alex LeVasseur Music Lab at the Brentwood Family YMCA following Alex’s two passions: music and skating.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
