He describes throat tightening and excessive saliva, but swallowing solids or liquids is easy. With a recent family history of larynx cancer, he is worried. We discuss the potential diagnosis of globus pharyngeus disorder, its link to emotional factors, and necessary investigations like laryngoscopy. Serious disease is considered unlikely in this case.
