His journey from a keen jazz student at Berklee College of Music to completing a PhD in classical composition at the University of Surrey has provided the background to his aesthetic approach, and culminates in his breakthrough album, A Piece of The Action.Jake’s approach to the instrument is also informed by his activities as a busy and versatile live performer, having shared the stage with the likes of John Williams, Bill Rieflin (R.E.M., King Crimson), Jeremy Jordan, Toyah Wilcox, and Christophe Godin (Morglbl).
