Episode Synopsis
In this episode, Sara and Carolyn had the pleasure of interviewing Mateo and Tina Moreno - an AAC user and his mom - about their experiences with inclusion and the importance of advocating and speaking up for yourself. Later in the episode, Mateo and Tina share some great tips for communication partners, new AAC users, and families who are just beginning their AAC journeys. Mateo is starting to share his experiences with classrooms to help them see how kids who use AAC are just like every other kid - they want to feel included and talk about things that are of interest to them.
