Listen "Thru-Hiking 2,200 Miles on the Appalachian Trail, with Ben Carpenter"
Episode Synopsis
Have you ever wanted to put your entire life on pause, so you could start really living? Well that's exactly what Ben Carpenter did when he spent five months of his life thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail. On this episode, we talk all about hiking the AT, from going over the basics and essential gear, to how he did it, what his favorite and least favorite parts were and what a typical day looks like. He even shared some awesome thru-hiking lingo, such as what "vitamin I' is, what a "tramly" is, the "hiker hobble" and of course, "trail magic." After we finished the episode, he started to tell me an incredible bear story from a time when he was in Yosemite National Park. I'm so glad I hit record to capture it and add it to this episode; you're not going to want to miss it!
