MEET AMANI ROBERTS:In the basement of an old bank in Washington DC, a college kid watched Biz Markie spin and his life changed forever. Now Amani Roberts (DJ AmRo) is a successful DJ, music producer, podcaster, educator, and business professional.With Bachelors of Business Administration from Howard University, Amani initially focused on developing his business skills in hotel sales management. But by 2008, he was already moving in music circles, creating his own podcasts, and spinning in local bars and clubs in California. He developed his skills both as a DJ and a music producer at the renowned Scratch Academy in Los Angeles skills that ultimately launched his DJ career.As well as performing around the world, Amani has co-released three remix EPs and runs a successful music business that caters to corporate clients. He’s also an adjunct professor at California State University (CSUF) where he teaches Entertainment Money Management, and the co-director of the Center for Entertainment & Hospitality Management.Amani hosts and produces The Amani Experience Podcast, and has been featured in Yahoo! Finance,MPI, and on the Evan Holliday Podcast.
