"Healthy Organization + Healthy Leader = Catalytic." - Jim Wehner
Jim Wehner serves as FCS president, where he oversees all of the organization’s activities with a particular emphasis on mission and vision, strategic initiatives, and board relations. He stepped into his current role in 2014 after serving six years as Executive Director of Charis Community Housing, which was the mixed-income housing arm of FCS at that time. Jim brought a wealth of both ministry and business skills to FCS, having previously served nine years as lead pastor of Common Ground Fellowship, and ten years in retail sales and management with Recreational Equipment Incorporated (REI). He holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Business from Washington State University and a Master of Arts in Ministry from Reformed Theological Seminary. Jim shares his expertise in mixed-income housing and holistic neighborhood development by serving as a board member or consultant with multiple organizations. He is a member of the 2021 class of Leadership Atlanta, the South Atlanta Civic League, and the Christian Community Development Association. Jim loves running, reading, camping, hiking, and any kind of Mexican food. He and his wife, Jolyn, have four grown children and have been residents of Historic South Atlanta since 2015.
