Before I met Carson Oliver, I didn’t know it was possible that a person could smoke that much weed and still be one of the most capable servers or bartenders I’ve ever worked with. I also didn’t know a person could have that much hair. In the six or so years since we met, he’s traded in both the pot habit and his lovely locks for a life in motion. He spent about a year traveling the USA and Vietnam via motorcycle and then another 5 months walking over 2,400 miles across the PCT from Mexico to Canada. Now, he’s riding his bike from San Diego to Florida. Carson’s put some miles behind him, so a lot of our conversation is about traveling and sacrificing comfort for a life on the road - but there’s also a hit about how science isn’t a liberal conspiracy.
