In this episode of 8-bit Monsters' Monster Deconstruction for D&D 5e we look over the goblin and all it's hijinks it can get into. The goblin has to be the monster that blew my mind when I deconstructed it so many years ago and saw how unproportionable it is vs it's actual CR. This goblin is what spurred the passion of deconstructing D&D monsters to see how they actually look bit by bit. The idea of this podcast is to break monsters down into their bare components: DCR & OCR. These two values will allow us to see how strong they are and to see where D&D got the CR values from. I'm doing this because all too often, players skip right to level 3 to avoid the hell levels and possibly end up dead. Generally, each monster is a balancing act that isn't equal to the final value.
