Episode Synopsis

Since 2008, I've been serving emerging generations through Back2Back Ministries, an organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable children, youth, and families around the world. In 2018, Back2Back opened its eighth site in Cincinnati, focusing on helping families from hard places move toward healing and sustainability. My hope for Back2Back Cincinnati is to see transformation through collaboration with like-minded organizations—nurturing youth and families toward long-term stability and purpose. For the first eight years, this mission took shape through One21, a movement within Back2Back that equips youth to "live like Jesus with hearts set on forever." As the Director of One21, I work to network followers of Jesus in emerging generations within the context of their city, campus, and church. One21 offers: Weekend retreats and conferences Social groups (IMPACT) Mission trips and discipleship strategies Youth ministry curriculum and school campaigns Each initiative is designed to engage youth culture with the Story of God, building community, influence, and sustainability. Today, over 40 churches and 1,500 students connect to the Gospel through One21 each year. In 2012, One21 expanded globally through Back2Back Ministries, resourcing orphaned and vulnerable youth in Monterrey, Mexico and beyond. Before joining One21, I served as a youth pastor at The First Church of Christ in Xenia, Ohio, for eight years. I hold a Master's Degree in Theology from Cincinnati Bible Seminary, where I also serve as an Adjunct Youth Ministry Professor. When I'm not speaking to students, consulting with churches, or developing youth ministry strategies, I'm most grateful for my greatest roles — husband and father. Website
