Autumn McKenzie has been a part of remarkable teams all of her life. She was born into a family of 8. Of the six children, she was third born. She is a former Division I student-athlete at Colgate University with a concentration in Neuroscience. Most notably, she led her team to win back to back Conference Championships and first ever appearance of a Colgate Women's team in the NCAA. In 2015, Colgate retired her volleyball jersey. She obtained her Master of Health Sciences and Physician Assistant training at Duke University, the birthplace of the Physician Assistant field of medicine. Currently, she practices Emergency Medicine at Johns Hopkins Emergency Department in Baltimore, MD Autumn McKenzie is a change agent. Understanding the power of change is paramount. Persevere and grow through change because God has a plan for your life. She was married to an exceptional man, raising two incredible girls, with a remarkable career when her life was broad sided by extreme change. Her husband was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2013 and died in 2014. Struck by the brevity of life and her own mortality, in February 2017 she launched her blog to effect change. She is compelled to share her story with the world because of God's love and grace that enabled her to not only begin again, but to live boldly. Autumn McKenzie encourages you to know your worth in Christ. There is something beautiful and powerful in each of us. Our dreams and goals are important and powerful when aligned with God's will. She encourages you to capitalize on NOW because there is power in this moment. In March 2020, her mom passed away after a catastrophic stroke. Autumn stepped into her mother's shoes to raise her niece and nephew. Autumn McKenzie is raising the next generation with a heart for God and humanity.
