In this heartfelt episode, we meet the disciples in John 21—tired, discouraged, and empty-handed after a long night of fishing. They’ve returned to what’s familiar, but it’s not working anymore. Maybe you’ve felt that too—doing the right things, praying the right prayers, and still coming up empty.
But then, as dawn breaks, Jesus appears on the shore and gently offers new direction: “Try the other side.” He doesn’t criticize their effort—He redirects it. And that one act of obedience fills their nets to overflowing.
This message is for anyone ready to give up. Maybe it’s not your effort that needs to change, but your direction. Maybe God is calling you to a different strategy, a quieter yes, a deeper trust.
Sometimes the miracle is just on the other side of surrender.
Don’t quit before the morning. Jesus is still standing on the shore—still guiding, still providing. You’re not forgotten. You’re being led. So pause, listen, and ask Him: Where should I cast my net now?
