No es solo una canción, es una declaración de amor a la tierra, a sus paisajes, a su gente. Eladio Tarife, con su pluma poética y profunda quien, nos pinta con palabras la belleza de Barinas, convirtiéndola en símbolo de todo lo que amamos del llano venezolano. Para mí, este tema tiene un valor aún más especial, porque fue el primer tema que me aprendí cantando, y el que tuve el honor de cantarlo En el Estadio José Ramón María Acosta de Villa de Cura, un momento que marcó el inicio de mi camino musical y que siempre recordaré con orgullo.
Interpretarlo hoy, con el acompañamiento del Maestro Ramón Páez en el Arpa, es como volver a ese primer escenario, a esa primera emoción, y compartirla con ustedes desde el alma.
