He studied history and philosophy at Wofford College as an undergrad and attended the University of Virginia for his M.A. and Ph.D. in philosophy.  He is currently the last philosopher standing at SUNY Potsdam. He recently wrote a piece in The Chronicle of Higher Education entitled The Gutting of the Liberal Arts and we decided to invite him on the show.
