Listen "Lives Of The Sahaba 29- Uthman b. Affan - PT 09"
Episode Synopsis
In this video, Shaykh Yasir Qadhi touches base on the innumerable hadith that have reference to Uthman RA , have been directed at him or have been told by himself in his lifetime.
Aisha (RA) reported that the Prophet ﷺ said (to Uthman RA), “O Uthman perhaps Allah may clothe you with a shirt. So, if people try to take it away from you, do not remove it for them.”
[Musnad Ahmad]
Jabir RA reported that funeral of a man was brought before the Prophet ﷺ that he may lead the funeral salah. But he did not pray over it. Someone said: "O Messenger of Allah, we have never seen you neglect the salah over anyone before this". He said: "He bore hatred for Uthman, so Allah is angry with him.”
[Sunnah Tirmidhi: 3729]
Ibn Umar (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger ﷺ mentioned a fitnah (trial), He said, "This innocent one will be killed in that, referring to Uthman bin Affan RA."
[Sunan Tirmidhi: 3728]
May Allah have mercy on Uthman RA. We shall be forever grateful to him for being steadfast and keeping the door of fitna closed and secured for however long he could. May Allah grant Jannah to his wife, his servants, Hasan RA and the unnamed Sahaba and citizens of Medina who defended him till the last day. Ameen.
