Julia Boland was born in Tamworth in 1985 She was introduced to Golf by her Dad at 12 and started playing under the guidance of Terry Hayes at Tamworth Golf ClubShe won several women's state amateur titles and then won the National Strokeplay ChampionshipShe headed to the USA to study at Texas A & M and finished her Masters as a Exercise ScientistShe won college events, turned pro and ended up on the LPGA for two seasonsAfter a hip injury stopped her from playing Golf for a livingShe is now The Deputy Principal of a high school in Brisbane and also the President of The WPGA Some great stories and insights into playing golf as a female, turning professional, and life after Golf
