Yamez is a leading DJ, producer, and turntablist for Trap, EDM, Hip-Hop, Drum and Bass, and Open Format. He has won multiple DJ battles, DJ’d radio shows, performed at parties for MTV, BMW, and has held residencies at Webster Hall with Vashtie, Marquee, The DL with Stretch Armstrong, and Pacha, among others. He has toured over fifteen countries with world renowned artists including Trey Songz, Miguel, Elle Varner, and Azealia Banks, and has performed at Radio City Music Hall with Nas.

After winning several DJ battles in Pittsburgh and Amherst in the early 2000’s, Yamez was noticed by the X-Ecutioners, a world renowned turntablist crew formed in 1989. The members of the X-Ecutioners, including Grandmaster Roc Raida, DJ Precision, DJ Total Eclipse, and Boogie Blind, became Yamez’s mentors. Through their guidance, Yamez began his journey of mastery as a skilled turntablist and DJ.

In 2004, Yamez joined the X-Ecutioners in over 10 cities on the DUB Magazine tour, a famed car magazine tour featuring artists such as T.I, Yin Yang Twins, and The Clipse.

Yamez became an official Red Bull DJ from 2006-2016 and was an A and R (Mr. X) for Red Bull Music Academy from 2010-2015. During this period he DJ’d exclusive events and scouted, curated, and organized events for Red Bull Music Academy and discovered talent.

From 2012-2013, Yamez toured with Trey Songz on his Chapter V Tour featuring Miguel and Elle Varner, and with Azealia Banks in 2015. Aside DJ’ing Banks’ shows in over 15 countries, Yamez also remixed exclusive tracks for Banks on the fly, and notably produced a track for her and Rick Ross called “Big Talk.”

Between 2017 to 2019, Yamez has been featured in a Boiler Room event at the Highline Ballroom, a Heineken event featuring Roy Woods, V/BMW launch party. He DJ’s international private events and parties, and is a regular at New York’s most beloved venues.

Yamez has toured with Donnis, Stalley, & Ninjasonik, and has toured with World of Drum & Bass and Summer Jam. He has DJ’d for Moto X, Maloof Money Cup, Manny Mania Pro Skate Contest, and has opened for DJ Craze, French Montana, Asap Rocky, Scarface,Yo Gotti, Baauer, Bobby Shmurda, Afropunk and Craig David, Usher, Fabolous, Mobb Deep, Wu-Tang Clan, Danny Brown, Chief Keef, Maroon 5, Flosstradamus, and rocked Radio City Hall on NYE 2012 with Nas.

He has been featured on countless parties including events for Alife, Adidas, Nike, Reebok, Asap Rocky’s Birthday and New Years party, and many more.


He has had brand sponsorships with ALIFE, Ray Ban, HUF, 10 DEEP, Lafayette, and El Señor.
