As we look forward to the warmth of summer, we think of tasty menu items that include eating fresh vegetables and fruits as part of our self-care. The BFNC has been focused on filling the access to fresh food for several years by collaborating with community organizations to provide healthy food choices for the communities they serve and is now creating a community garden at the Fruit Belt Neighborhood House.

The pandemic created great needs. Pastor Art at The Journeys Church saw a need to make sure Buffalo seniors were not forgotten during the pandemic. He reached out to community partners including BFNC to create “Groceries to Seniors”. Every 4th Saturday fresh vegetables, can goods, cooking items and a hot meal are delivered by volunteers to seniors.
