Sometimes, God is trying to pass along a "baton" from one generation to another.Out of Genesis 11, we see a possible passing on of a "baton" in the story of Terah, the father of Abram, to Abram. How do you continue the story of your family line? In the scriptures, Abram seems to be in the spotlight of the biblical story, but this does not mean that Abram is the beginning of the story. I would submit that God continues stories of family lines, which means your life is much bigger than yours.
