SCENE 6: WISE MEN VISIT JESUS Children: “Look at the camels! Where did they come from?”Dad: “Those camels came from very far away! You see, the best gift of all, Jesus our Savior, was given for all people, near and far. God put a bright star in the sky and led the wise men from the east to where Jesus was. They came to worship Him by giving Him gifts fit for a king. Do you remember what the gifts were?”Children: “They gave gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. Those are funny gifts for a baby.”Dad: “Well, Jesus probably wasn’t a baby anymore by the time the Wise Men found him. But yes, they do seem like funny gifts to us. But, they were the kind of gifts you would give a King, and they gave those gifts for the same reason we give gifts today – they were thankful for the greatest gift of all: a Savior, Jesus.”Dad: “Jesus grew up and he never sinned. He lived with Mary and Joseph and had brothers and sisters.”Children: “That’s impossible! You mean Jesus never lied, he never hit his brothers and sister?”Dad: “You have to remember that Jesus is God’s own son, so he is fully human, but he is also fully God. This is why he is God’s greatest gift to us – Jesus was perfect!
