It wasn't the prettiest of games, but the Bad Axe Hatchets made it two wins in a row with a hard-fought 54-50 victory over the EPBP Lakers. A total of 17 lead changes and seven ties took place throughout the game. Bad Axe's Michael Janssen led all scorers with 26 points, with 18 of them coming in the second half. Grady Seltz pumped in 12 points, all on three-pointers. Lakers were led by sophomore Caden Carriveau with 14 points, despite fouling out in the 4th quarter. Layton Krohn and Graham Shepherd each had 10 points for the Green Machine. Bad Axe improved to 4-5 on the season, winning their last two games after a five-game losing streak. Lakers has now lost four in a row and is 4-4 for the 2024 campaign.
