There are many metaphors for life that illustrate important lessons. For example, Forrest Gump taught us that "life is like a box of chocolates". One of the best we've come across is "live life like a surfer riding waves".
In this episode we're breaking down the parallels between a healthy mental state and going surfing. You can't catch any waves from the sand. Enjoy the ride every time, no matter how long or short. Be mindful of your surroundings. Wipeouts are part of the process, expect them and have a plan to deal with them. And if you can, structure your life so you can enjoy the journey as much as the destination.
