Listen "897. Luke, Chapter 12 (#5) - I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail. - October 9, 2025"
Episode Synopsis
Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 9. I will then key in on verses 7-9. These three verses talk about the difference you will receive if you give advice to a scoffer - compared to giving advice to someone who has wisdom. On today's podcast we will continue our study of the Gospel, according to Luke. Today we will be looking at verses 31-34 of Chapter 12, entitled Jesus Predicts Peter's Denial. Since this is such an important event in the history of the world, we will also look at this passage contained in Matthew's, as well as John's account of this event. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:1. I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail.2. I will strike the Shepherd, And the sheep of the flock will be scattered.3. A new commandment I give to you, that you also love one another, as I have loved you.Scriptures found on today's podcast:Proverb 9:7-9; Luke 22:31-34; Matthew 26:31-35; John 13:36-38; John 13:31-35; Zechariah 13:7Call to Action - Where are you at in this process (referring to verses 7-9 of Proverb 9)? Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior - or are you allowing pride to hold you back and thinking that you have all the answers (and don't have need of a Savior)?
