Listen "882. Luke, Chapter 21 - Jesus Predicts the Destruction of the Temple - September 18. 2025"
Episode Synopsis
Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 18. I will then key in on verses 10 & 11- The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe. The rich man's wealth is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own esteem. Friends, people who are rich tend to put their faith in their wealth, while people who trust in the Lord look to Him for their strength. On today's podcast I will begin by reviewing the three points I had brought up on yesterday's podcast (Episode #881 - If you did not get a chance to tune in to that podcast I invite you to check it out). I will then begin Chapter 11 of the Gospel, according to Luke. We will go over the first 6 verses today. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:1. Jesus contrasted the giving of the rich with the sacrifice of the poor widow.2. He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.3. Jesus predicts the destruction of the temple.Scriptures referenced on today's podcast:Proverb 18:10; Luke 21:1-6; 2 Corinthians 8:1-5; 2 Corinthians 9:6-9; Galatians 6:6-9Call to Action: Are you a tither?
