Episode Synopsis

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley.  We will go over Proverb 29.  I will then briefly go over verse 25.  This verse tells us that the fear of man brings a snare.  What this means simply is that we should be interested in pleasing God and NOT man.  God is the one who we should be concerned with.  Next I will break down all 27 book of the New Testament.  We begin with the Gospel of Matthew (written by Mathew); the Gospel of Mark (written by Mark); the Gospel of Luke (written by Luke - who also wrote the Book of Acts); and the Gospel of John (written by John, the disciple whom Jesus loved).  John also is the author of 1st John, 2nd John, 3rd John and the book of Revelations (John talks about the Revelation that came to him of whom Jesus Christ truly is).  Next we have the Pauline letters (all of the letters written by Paul) - who was originally Saul of Tarsus.  Paul wrote the letter to the Church of Rome (we call it the book of Romans); the two letters he wrote to the church in Corinth (we call these two letters 1 Corinthians and 2 Corinthians); the letter to the church in Galatia (we refer to it as Galatians); the letter to the church in Ephesus (known as Ephesians); the letter to the church in Phillippi (known at Philippians); the letter to the church in Colosse (known as Collossians); the two letters to the church in Thessalonica (known as 1 Thessalonians and 2 Thessalonians); the two letters to his protege Timothy (known as 1 Timothy and 2 Timothy); Titus, and Philemon.  The author of Hebrews is unknown.  James and Jude were both half-brothers of Jesus and grew up in the same house as Jesus and are the authors, respectfully, of James and Jude.  1 Peter and 2 Peter are written by one of the most famous disciples (known very well as the disciple who denied Jesus three times after Jesus had been arrested.
