Listen "741. Ephesians - Chapter 1 (#2) - In Him we have redemption through His Blood - February 3, 2025"
Episode Synopsis
Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 3. I will then key in on verse 21 - My son, let them not depart from your eyes - Keep sound wisdom and discretion. Here "them" refers to God's wisdom, God's understanding, and God's knowledge - the author Solomon is telling us that God desires each of us to have knowledge - then understanding - and then wisdom. On today's podcast we will pick up where we left off on Thursday's podcast. Prior to beginning today's lesson I will review the three points I brought up on Thursday. We will then continue in Ephesians, Chapter 1, verse 7. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
2. He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
3. By His death Christ satisfied the justice of God. He paid the penalty of sin in full.
Scriptures referenced on today's lesson:
Ephesians - 1:7; Hebrews 9:12; Romans 3:23-26; Hebrews 4:16
Call to Action - I would like for everyone to close your eyes for a moment, and go through the process of Christ being nailed to the cross - first his wrists, then his feet, Him looking down on the crown with his arms spread out wide, and Him uttering the words, - "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do!"
