Listen "Record High Commute Times"
Episode Synopsis
ABC News Correspondent Jim Ryan talks about how Americans are spending more time than ever staring at the world through a windshield. After enjoying a drive-time lull during the pandemic, the average commuter lost 63 hours sitting in traffic in 2024, the highest level ever measured, according to the Texas A&M Transportation Institute’s latest Urban Mobility Report. Researchers have found that “rush hour” is no longer confined to early morning or late-afternoon.
