Listen "Episode 100: Review of Season 2 Episode 4 of House of the Dragon: Rook's "
Episode Synopsis
Aemond, just moments after Cole halted him just as he was about to kill his brother Aegon, takes the dagger—the same one that will fall into Arya Stark's hands and enable her to kill the Night King—to point to him. As a result, the dagger is used in the incorrect kind of war. Thus, Aemond, one of the main avatars of the Dance of the Dragons, assumes an anti-historical meaning: destiny has vanished, and it won't return for generations. Since history had chosen little Aegon by bestowing upon him a priceless weapon, the passing of the blade represents a possible passing of power.
