Listen "Take Time"
Episode Synopsis
Heavy duuuuude . . . and noisy, too. I did an intro edit for this version of "Take Time" . . . just a little frontal lobotomy. This is the opening track for our 1987 first full album, "Thunder on the Tundra", which came out on 12-inch vinyl. The star on this song was our bass player, John Towill. I asked him to play on the tune for our basement recording, but I had no idea that he was going to come up with such a brilliant part. His articulation, as you'll hear, is impeccable! And it's such an interesting part that Jamie jumped in on guitar to double some of his well-thought-out lines. The lyrics? Well . . . "Time is all history yet we haven't gone very far . . . time is a mystery, and we're no Scotland Yard". I couldn't have said it better myself. Heh heh heh.
