Covenant ( a definition ): a promise or contract. Hi everyone! Lindy and I continue our bible series. We talk about what the word 'covenant' means  and,  in particular, the covenant of marriage.  The covenants or promises that God makes throughout the bible seem to be sealed by blood.  This sounds messy.  But we roll with it. We want to break down what makes up the covenant of marriage. What does it take for the agreement of marriage to be 'activated' between two people? Following the idea of the necessity of bloodshed in order to seal a covenant, Lindy and I discuss the idea that sex could activate the marriage covenant. Sometimes we only look at the external side of marriage. The word marriage is synonymous with the words, dress, ring, bridesmaid, wedding venue. But what is marriage really? If it's an agreement between two people then is all the rest of it really necessary? Do we need the venue? Do we need the priest?
