New York City Rent stabilized apartments are getting a price hike. Starting tomorrow, renters will have a 3% increase on one-year leases and a 4.5% rise on two-year leases. This applies to about 1 million apartments across the city. New York City is looking to secure millions of dollars in a settlement from Purdue Pharma, the makers of Oxycontin, to tackle the ongoing opioid crisis.
