Episode Synopsis
Andrew Bailey is a native Hoosier. He was born in 1969 and raised in Richmond, IN. He graduated from Indiana University in 1992 with a BA in psychology. He then attended Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN, graduating in 1996 with an MDiv. Andrew served two ELCA Lutheran congregations in northwest Indiana from 1996-2014.
He came to terms with being a gay man in 2009, and left ordained ministry in 2014. In 2015, he went back to school and graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching, Special Education focus in 2017 and EdS in ELL and Curriculum and Instruction in 2022. Andrew is currently the case manager at a high school in Chicago Public Schools. Andrew now resides in Chicago with his four children.
