Good morning, Phoenix! It's Thursday, December 4th, and your city is absolutely bursting with holiday cheer and exciting activities this week. Right now, the Phoenix Job Fair is happening at the DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix North from eleven in the morning until two in the afternoon. If you're job hunting, it's the perfect opportunity to connect with employers. But that's not all happening today. LEGOLAND Discovery Center Arizona is kicking off Holiday Bricktacular, running through January first. This is your chance to build incredible holiday creations with fellow LEGO enthusiasts in a festive atmosphere. Now let's talk about tonight and tomorrow. Downtown Phoenix is hosting an absolutely stunning blue-hued Christmas takeover at a local bar featuring a winter wonderland experience unlike anything you've seen before. They've crafted a special holiday cocktail menu with five festive drinks that will keep your spirits merry and bright, running now through January second. But here's where things really get exciting. This Saturday, December 6th, mark your calendar for the 38th annual APS Electric Light Parade. The parade starts at seven o'clock in the evening and lasts approximately an hour and a half. This year's theme is Let it Glow, and you can expect festive floats, illuminated displays, marching bands, talented performers, and a surprise guest to close out the spectacular show. The parade begins at Central Avenue and Montebello Avenue and ends at Seventh Street and Indian School Road. Street parking is available, but here's a pro tip, take the light rail instead and walk to the parade route. It's completely free and family-friendly, rain or shine, so dress warmly because it gets chilly in the evening. Come early because all viewing spots are first-come, first-served, and bring your own chairs and blankets for maximum comfort. Portable toilets will be available along the route, and you can bring coolers with snacks and drinks, though no alcohol or glass containers are allowed.Looking ahead to the weekend, Phoenix Parks and Recreation is hosting six special holiday events throughout December. Plus, The Nash Jazz Club is offering fantastic live jazz performances perfect for a night out celebrating the season.Phoenix really is the place to be this December.
